I Think We've Got It

I did it! I finished the logo. I showed the adjustments I made to Bobby and he said, "I think we've got it." It felt so good to hear those words. I've been working on this logo for so long that it kind of feels like it's a part of me. Maybe that's how it's supposed to feel. I'm not really sure. But I'm proud of myself for getting it done.

I'm not ready to unveil it just yet. Call me superstitious, but I don't want to jinx it or anything. Especially after all the time that went into it. But I'm starting to work on the website now. I've been doing some research to figure out the best way to present the information and how to make it as user-friendly as possible. I'm definitely going for a less-is-more approach.

One of the sales guys provided me with a lot of information to use and incorporate into the website. And it really was A LOT of information. So I spent most of the week sorting through it and figuring out what was more vital and what wasn't. I think I've about got it sorted out, which is good because my internship is coming closer to the end. I'm ready to see it all come together and I don't think it will be much longer until I do.

A Much Needed Break

I had this week off from my internship because of spring break and it was really nice to have a break. I went to Dallas with Matt and we went to the Omni theatre. I haven't done that since I was in middle school, so that was fun. I also went to Lubbock with my sister for her birthday and we went shopping. A little retail therapy is always nice.

I also did some of my wedding planning. So exciting! I already have my dress and we booked our venue today. Wedding planning in your final semester of college is kind of hard. There's just so much going on. After graduation, I'll put more attention on the wedding but I wanted the major things set before it passed me by.

Next week, I'll get back to finalizing the logo and I'll start building the website. I'm halfway there!

The Light at the End of the Tunnel

A lot has happened in the last week. I finally got the design right! It went in a completely different direction than I ever would have imagined, but it feels so good knowing that it's almost done. Bobby is really excited about it. So excited that he's been showing it to several people and he said it's garnering positive feedback. This makes me more excited because it gives me the sense that I'm doing something right.

I've still got to do some minor tweaking and put the finishing touches on it, but I'm finally in the home-stretch of the logo design. It took me a lot longer than I ever would have imagined, but I feel like branding the company through its logo is the hardest part of my internship.

I'm almost positive that I will finish it early this week, and then I will move on to building the website. Last week, the sales team made a new contact and he oversees several hospitals and has committed to using Harvest 3 for medical supplies. So the demand for a website is definitely there.

Everything that has been happening the week has got me really pumped up. Now I'm feeling refreshed and I'm ready to get back to work. I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and it feels so good.

Almost There

This week was another long, hard week. Recovering from my wisdom teeth surgery is proving to be difficult and distracting.

I didn't get much done on Tuesday. I found it hard to concentrate on what I was doing, so my time wasn't very productive. On Thursday, I had my follow-up appointment with the oral surgeon. Half of my tongue is still numb, so he put me on more medication and I have to go back again in a couple of weeks.

After my appointment, I met with Bobby to show him what I had been working on and we discussed it further. He likes the direction the logo is going in, but made a suggestion that could really make a big difference in the logo.

I don't want to give it away just yet, but I'm finally feeling good about it. I never would have imagined that designing a logo would take this much time. I really can't wait to get to the final stages of the logo. I'm ready to move on from the logo design and get into the website design. Almost there!
